Event Briefing

Summary: The overall aim of this event is to create new and refresh existing relationships and networks between researchers, forensic scientists, police officers and partner practitioners who share interests in forensic science, evidence and investigation. It is also about facilitating academic-practitioner-industry conversations around issues of mutual interest in order to set an agenda for future collaborative working to enhance and support the development of forensic science in Scotland.

A key objective of the sandpit is that it should stimulate connections and ideas that can be taken forward and actioned beyond the sandpit itself. SIPR will award Evidence & Investigation Collaborative Project Funding grants (up to £10,000) to support ongoing activity that emerges from the sandpit.
