Final year PhD at Edinburgh Napier University studying communication between the police and citizens via social media in Scotland. With social media becoming increasingly important in society, this project seeks to explore ‘what works’ and best practice in relation to police-public social media communication. This project has involved spending time with the police and citizens across Scotland between 2016 and 2017. In turn, capturing people's perceptions, needs and expectations in relation to police communication in 21st century Scotland.
