Applications are now open for ISSPS 2026 | 22 to 26 June 2026

We are thrilled to announce that applications are now open for the International Summer School for Policing Scholars 2026, taking place at the University of Stirling from 22 to 26 June 2026.

ISSPS is a unique immersive week designed for doctoral researchers working in policing and related fields. The summer school brings together scholars from across the world to engage with leading international academics and practitioners, explore innovative theories and methods, and develop research that informs policing policy and practice.

What to expect

Intensive workshops on policing research design, theory, evaluation and research translation

Opportunities to learn how to research with, for and alongside practitioners

A supportive international environment focused on developing the next generation of policing scholars

SIPR is funding places for doctoral researchers based at SIPR member universities, covering accommodation and some subsistence for the week, helping to make this opportunity as accessible as possible.

ISSPS 2026 coincides with the Scottish International Policing Conference, offering participants a fantastic opportunity to showcase their work, network and connect research with real world impact.
